Biography
He was born in Palamós (Girona). He studied his Bachelor of Music at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu (Barcelona) under the tutelage of soprano Dolors Aldea. He had the opportunity to work with many internationally respected musicians including Sigiswald Kuijken, Eva Marton, Carlos Álvarez, Joan Pons, Eric Halfvarson, Carlos Chausson, Joan Pons, Isabel Rey, Carmen Bustamante, and Marina Rebeka. He is currently refining his vocal technique and role study with dramatic soprano Cynthia Jacoby-Deventer in Germany.
During his last seasons 2019-2022 he was the baritone soloist with "Operastudio Niederrhein", the young artist program of the Theater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, Germany. As part of the young solo ensemble, Guillem Batllori has debuted the roles of Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Sprecher / 1.Priester / 2.Geharnischter Mann (Die Zauberflöte), Thierry / 2.Komissar (Dialogues des Carmélites), Mitjucha (Boris Godunov) and many others in the main stage productions of the theater.
He has debuted in roles such as Ford (Falstaff) and Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte), the latter performed at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg festival (Germany) and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the orchestra La Petite Bande. He has also performed as the Marchese d'Obigny (La traviata) at the Castell de Peralada Festival and as Marcello (la bohème) and Ping (Turandot) in various theaters.
In 2023, he debuted at the Gran Teatre del Liceu with L'incoronazione di Poppea (C. Monteverdi), where he later parcitipated in Antony and Cleopatra (J. Adams), Lohengrin (R. Wagner), West Side Story (L. Bernstein), and more recently, La Gioconda (A. Ponchielli). In 2024, he debuted at Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo with Arabella (R. Strauss), a stage he returned to for the role of the Count in Le nozze di Figaro (W.A. Mozart). At the end of 2025, he made his debut in the role of Figaro (le nozze di Figaro) with the Fundació Ópera de Catalunya.
In the symphonic field, he has performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana in works such as Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Fauré's Requiem, Mozart's Requiem, Bach's St. Matthew Passion. In January of this year, he performed L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater (Germany). Among his most recent engegements, he performed Ein deutsches Requiem by J. Brahms in Barcelona and Carmina Burana in Palacio de la Ópera de A Coruña.
